Amazon will help interested entrepreneurs set up and manage their new delivery business with no prior experience needed. Perks of the Delivery Service Partners program include, Amazon-branded vehicles customized for delivery, branded uniforms, fuel, as well as comprehensive insurance coverage and more. Another advantage of the program is that business owners can focus on the people-side of the business, growing and encouraging a great team instead of worrying about selling. Amazon senior vice president of worldwide operations, Dave Clark said,

"Customer demand is higher than ever and we have a need to build more capacity. As we evaluated how to support growth, we went back to our roots to share the opportunity with small-and-medium-sized businesses...in order to take advantage of the growing opportunity in e-commerce package delivery."

The offering enables entrepreneurs to utilize technology and operational support resources directly from Amazon. The company's plans are to keep startup costs as low as $10,000, additionally they commited $1 million dollars towards funding startup costs for military veterans. The fleet size of each business in the program is intended to include up to 40 vehicles and 100 employees.

Like any reasonable company, Amazon beta tested the idea with existing Amazon Flex members. The program boasts $18-25 /hr wages allowing you to, "be your own boss, set your own schedule, and have more time to pursue your dreams." One of the beta testers, Olaoluwa Abimbola figured the new opportunity was a, "no-brainer." Amazingly, in less than 5 months he has hired more than 40 employees in Aurora, Colorado.
